This concert was fantastic! Ian Trotman, who is from Barbados, brings his own "Tropicality" style to all the jazz pieces he plays, whether his own original compositions or cover tunes by other artists like Grover Washington. The steelpan player, who adds a great deal to the "Tropicality" sound was very accomplished at his rare trade. In fact, all Mr. Trotman's band-members were top flight artists in their own right. Trotman is not only an up and coming jazz artist. In my opinion, he has arrived. I am now officially a fan. Many thanks to the Federation for producing this wonderful event.
