You are cordially invited to The 2023 CHINA Town Hall (CTH) program on Wednesday, October 11, featuring a Webcast at 7:00 p.m. EDT with current U.S. Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, and an in-person talk at 5:30 p.m. by climate policy strategist Cory Combs in Room MRC 3 in Unistructure. Ambassador Burns will be in conversation with National Committee on U.S.–China Relations President Stephen Orlin.

Program:

5:30 pm: A Talk entitled "Jacob's Ladder: The Struggle for Progress in China-US Climate Cooperation" by Mr. Cory Combs (bio), Associate Director at Trivium China

6:30 pm: Buffet Dinner

7:00 pm: 2023 CHINA Town Hall (CTH) featuring U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns, and discussion afterwards with Cory Combs and Dr. Hong Yang, Charles J. Smiley Professor of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Bryant University and 2022-23 William and Flora Hewlett Foundation Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. CHINA Town Hall connects leading China experts with Americans around the country for a national conversation on the implications of China’s rise on U.S.-China relations and its impact on our towns, states, and nation.  The National Committee is proud to partner with a range of institutions and community groups, colleges and universities, trade and business associations, and world affairs councils to bring this important national conversation to local communities around America for the 17th consecutive year.
