Dr. Jennifer Freyd is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Oregon, principal investigator of the Freyd Dynamics Lab, and an editor of the Journal of Trauma & Dissociation. Her work centers around the impacts of sexual violence on individuals as well as organizations. Recently, she has focused on the concepts of institutional betrayal and institutional courage, in terms of how organizations respond to allegations of sexual violence. We have asked her to emphasize her work with individuals including Anita Hill, Ashley Judd, Christina Blasey Ford, and most recently Meredith Watson, who has come forward with allegations of sexual violence by Virginia’s Lt. Governor, Justin Fairfax.
