Beyond Bitcoin: The Dynamics of Initial Coin Offerings

While most of us have heard of Bitcoin, the underlying blockchain concept and technology has many uses, as well as many implications. In this talk, we'll explore the phenomenon of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), the economics of token sales of various types for various purposes, and address questions of whether blockchain is hereto stay, and what it means for public policy and 
firm strategy, structure, and scope.

Jordan is a PhD student in Strategy and Innovation at Boston University whose work focuses on blockchain, governance, and the theory of the firm. After graduating from Harvard College in 2008, he worked in New York in investment banking and asset management for JPMorgan/Chase, Deutschebank, and Global Thematic Partners for 8 years.  He owns Sydney cafe and Quay bar in Providence
