Bryant Joined ACE Internationalization Lab: What to Expect

Bryant University is one of 13 international colleges and universities selected to participate in the 19th cohort of the American Council on Education (ACE) Internationalization Laboratory. Bryant’s International Affairs will lead the University’ efforts over the next 18 months, working with colleagues across campus, ACE program staff, and expert lab advisors to evaluate and enhance Bryant's international programs.

The ACE Internationalization Lab is a collaborative learning community that assists colleges and universities in analyzing current activities and formulating strategic plans to achieve their internationalization goals and strengthen their global engagement. To date, more than 150 institutions have participated in the program.

Dr. Cheryl Matherly serves as Lehigh University’s senior international officer and is charged with providing strategic leadership for its numerous international education programs, including study abroad, international student services, ESL programs, international internships, partnership programs, Fulbright programs, UN programs, and the Iacocca Institute. Lehigh was recognized in 2021 with NAFSA’s Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization in recognition of its international education programs.

Dr. Matherly is an advisor of the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Lab, consulting with universities developing internationalization strategic plans. She is past president of the Association for International Education Administrators, the association for senior university leaders, and was named Senior International Officer of the Year by the Institute of International Education in 2020.
