Please RSVP via eventbrite: www.eventbrite.com/e/ethical-fashion-forum-tickets-59421505322
The Bryant Fashion Forum has joined with Restored by Design, a local eco-chic fashion designer, in celebration of Earth Day to bring awareness to its students and the general public about fashion sustainability. The event will showcase a panel discussion with industry professionals who will speak about the impact and opportunities of fashion, how sustainability differentiates businesses and how consumers decide between brands when shopping.
This discussion will focus on two key initiatives including the circularity opportunities fashion has, allowing consumers to understand how to repurpose clothing and use substitute textiles that will not end up in landfills, along with the industry aspect of ethical sourcing and best practices. Restored by Design also highlights its relationship with local designers who will showcase their sustainable and ethical fashion after panelist discussion in the form of an interactive fashion show.
“We want to encourage interaction instead of just a runway show where people just look and leave,” said Martha Jackson, Chief Designer and Founder at Restored by Design. “Each designer wants to tell their story to educate the public and answer any questions the audience may have.”
