Exploring Types of Community Engagement: Part One- Awareness, Advocacy, and Activism

This series will bring in a variety of community partners who will present activities, discussions, and real world examples that demonstrate the many types of service that exist when engaging with the community. In this session, representatives from AmeriCorps VISTA and Campus Compact of Southern New England will unpack opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned associated with awareness, advocacy, and activism. This session will review the multifaceted nature of this area of service while demonstrating the long term impact it can have on the structure, policies, and strategies of an organization.
