TeamSpirit is an annual summer leadership conference run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Rhode Island. High schools across the state of Rhode Island are invited to send students for a four day seminar. About 200 students are chosen to attend through an application process. Adult chaperones, from the MADD RI board and SADD school advisors, stay the course of the four days. During the four days students not only stay in the dormitories but also eat all meals at the university cafeteria and use the Bryant facilities for various seminars. Seminars consist of many speaker activities, alcohol and distracted driving awareness activities as well as leadership and team building activities. All activities relate to the overall theme of destructive decisions and are intended for high school students. The student participants are led by about 35 high school leaders that are distinguished through a more selective application process. Students cannot be older than a senior in high school to participate and be chosen as a leader/staff.
