About this Event

Please join us for the next discussion in our Talking About Politics series, in which Bryant professors raise timely, relevant political questions and welcome all members of the Bryant community—students, staff, and faculty—to join in the discussion.

Congress is widely disliked, with about 70% of the population holding an unfavorable view, according to a recent Pew study. Voters, presidents, and even many members of Congress criticize the institution for its hyperpolarization, inefficiency, and lack of substantive lawmaking. And yet, in the upcoming election, the vast majority of members will be reelected to Congress. Political science professor Tristan Hightower will help us examine these topics and engage in a conversation about this critical yet unpopular institution.
